10 Days Old...







Brand spanking new Paykan Pick-Up spotted yesterday. The owner picked it up 10 days ago, check out the new bigger bumpers, fancy headlamps, ABS system, new and improved brake booster, and whatever that fuel injection contraption is above the engine!.... You might ask whats up with the calk-gun?...

Well already the new owner was making some badly needed improvement! So here you have it, a 45 year old body (Paykan being in production since 1967) matted with a 42 year old engine that was first fitted on the Hillman Avenger, rolling out of IranKhodro's factory in Tabriz.  Amazing no?...

      I was told it was 10.5 Million Toman, which translates into ~$3-4K BUT the Iranian currency in the past couple of months lost almost 1/4 of its value, so in a more real terms it is around ~$10k.

    what is MPG(KM/LITER)for this persian born cross breed?very interesting face for a new vehicle being produced in 21 th century,i kind of missed those square shaped cars from 60s&70s.nice website by the way.well done.pierre kruz.

      I have no idea, but I can ask around to see what that is, my guess is not that good. Yes a 21century relic! :)

    1o.5 million tomans for that junk,unbelievable.when i was in iran you could buy a new paykan truck for 129000 tomans,when would i get to see that again?never.dariush.
